The “Bildungsgabe” association promotes equal opportunities with forward-looking educational offers and has created the “Innovation Room” in Frankfurt.
This creative meeting place offers access to VR, AI and 3D printing to open up new opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The space has been actively used since 2024 and is set to become a permanent focal point in the long term.
The project operator
The non-profit organization “Bildungsgabe” supports people in difficult circumstances with innovative educational concepts. Based on the guiding principle “Good education is one of the best ways to master the challenges of our time”, the association is committed to equal opportunities. Financed by donations, it offers programs throughout Hesse and supports the transfer of knowledge to social work.
To promote talent from socially disadvantaged families, Bildungsgabe has created a place in Frankfurt where they can work on innovative technologies.
Innovation Room – Creative Space
Bildungsgabe founded the “Innovation Room” in Frankfurt am Main at the beginning of 2024 – a creative meeting place for future-oriented ideas. This space offers an inspiring environment with modern equipment, including VR and AI technologies as well as a 3D printer.
Located in a socially deprived area, the Innovation Room was created at the request of many children and young people. Over 40 visitors have already used it since it opened. In the long term, it is to be established as a permanent meeting place and made more widely known.
The room is accessible to the public and the first topic-related workshops (e.g. dealing with social media and digitalization) are being held.
We want to make digital media available to children and young people in the Innovation Room, which are often not available at home or at school. They should be able to explore and use the possibilities of these technologies and thus be well prepared for the challenges of the digital future.

Why we are committed to the project
What particularly impresses us about this project is the idea of generating a “creative space” for children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Especially with a view to the future, it is crucial to promote young people in the field of digitalization with creative and innovative offers as well as supportive guidance. This will enable them to develop their potential and face the challenges of the future with confidence.
Outlook
We are very happy to support this project for the next three years and wish the Innovation Space team continued interest in this topic and much joy in the spirit of discovery of the participants.
